Description
I think this was a coal tender/barge which ran aground just off the beach at Blouberg, Cape Town. They removed all the cargo but the damage meant that they scrapped it. Workers were using cutting torches, something was ignited causing quite a fire.
Robben Island is visible just to the right.
Stay afloat,
Clive

Stunning capture Clive.
and of course, all sorts of finger pointing and blah - blahing while it rusts even further
Wow, that's a lot of scrap metal! Bet someone got in serious trouble!
This is so different and I can look at your photo for a long time. Fascinating.
nice
Tom is right, really interesting!
Lovely clear shot Clive. Quite a 'hardship' for someone!!
Wonderful! My pet peeve on these types of shots is a uneven horizon.....you of course didn't make that mistake!
Thought the cranes were lifting a big steal beam until I zoomed in. This is a fascinating image.
Fascinating! I've been staring at this for quite a while. I keep half expecting to see her roll into the surf. Maybe the next big storm will push her over. Excellent capture!
