Description
This is a mono version of a color piece I posted last week. At the time I vascillated endlessly, and finally decided on the color version. I still liked this one though, and thought you might get a kick out of seeing it.
We've been swamped around here with projects the past week or so, which is why you haven't seen much of me lately! I'm plugging along, but by the end of the day I haven't had the energy to decide what to post, so I haven't put up much of anything.
The next week or so should see things quieting down ... I hope ... !!!

This is every bit as beautiful n B&W as it was in color!!
Fabulous Tara almost looks like a pencil sketch to me.. Wonderful!!
Quite lovely either way, I like how the black and white version pulls your eye to the heron.
I have been looking at both again and again... torn too. My time in the darkroom means that the B&W appeals more somehow. Thanks for posting this one! Clive
I was going to say I liked the color version better but the more I look at this the better I like it. I agree with Jesti, the black and white really highlights the heron.
nice work
This is almost as beautiful as the other one Tara.
This is begging to be a lino-cut!
Excellent work.
So beautiful in b&w. The light edges give the landscape an almost surreal feeling.
Wonderful work!
Wow, I like it every bit as much as the color version. Hooray for vascillation and both versions:)
superbe photo!!
Sometimes it's better not to burden yourself with hard decisions like this! I tend toward colour myself, but then I really really like the heron in this one...darn you!
I actually like this one better. there's a air of mystery in this scene
I like very much. The black and white give more depth .Bravo!
Stunning artwork!
Excellent work!
Fantastic picture!!
I agree with wisywig
Excellent work! :)
Just as lovely in B&W! It adds a bit of a mystical quality to this lovely artwork. Lovely, Tara!
Very interesting work,
This image looks great in B&W too but I think I liked the colour better but the detail shows up better in this one. I'm glad you posted both.
like a painting lol I hearing Vanessa Mae on youtube and looking at this is like a dream state link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euOu89d3npA&feature=related
wonderful work likes to stare warm hugs, Linda Kaye
A different mood and atmosphere altogether - simpler but more intriguing, if that makes any sense ? BB
Really impressive, artistic image!
This is amazing! I like both version and I totally know what it means to be swamped; I'm pretty much swamped until about the second week of April, which is fine by me, since April is almost here! As for this shot, it's marvelous! It has such a deliciously otherworldly look to it. LOL @ Jocko, listening to Venessa Mae while looking at this! As it stands, I'm listening to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross doing The Social Network soundtrack. It's amazing how quasi Nine Inch Nails music goes so well with this image. And the image itself is superb and deliciously moody!
This is FANTASTIC!!!! Wow, I really love this! The b/w is great and so refreshing to see in a world of color. There's an almost painterly quality to this that I really like. Great work!
