Stuning capture Clive.
Nice shot and a lot of timber.
Wildlife 'removed' as well.... While I do sometimes 'understand' the need for doing thins sort of thing.. On small islands filled with rare species and even rarer plants, I am afraid I do not understand the need for this! No consideration has been given I bet, to the wildlife living in the forest.. No forest .....no forest wildlife! If it is replanted with native trees...I doubt... they will be 2 foot tall and take untold years to reach this height.. If its stay levelled - the wind will clear the topsoil very quickly, or of course, housing or farmland.. Either way, every way, wildlife has lost out.. All because man couldn't leave alone... That said, trees always make great pictures.. AND I am sorry to rant but I feel a bit strongly about this thing.. My country has a 'thing' for this... And I hate it.. Rob
The rows are so straight ... it must have been originally planted as a tree farm?
