This pretty little guy was created today in a few hours, using Wings3d (right); textured and rendered in Bryce (left).

As art teacher, I'm fond of that kinds of sculpture. In France, we call these proofs of artistic sensibility in civilizations who didn't use writing "Arts Premiers". Unfortunately, we have "stolen" - and sometimes we still steal - a lot of objects and sculptures in Africa, Australia, north of America( Inuit ), PacifiC islands... A "fruit" of the colonization... We have created a great museum in Paris a few years ago dedicated to these " Arts Premiers". Thanks for giving us the frame and the ( very well ) textured object!

This is excellent of course. The next step is to get someone to actually carve it out of wood so you can sell the finished product. Interesting that you used Bryce to render. It has the materials I guess but lighting in Bryce is difficult. Kerkythea might be worth a look there's also the SunFlow Java render engine, but it looks difficult.
