Description

Pomp and circumstance. Captured 11/7/10, at the Renaissance Faire held at the Felicita County Park, 742, in Escondido, California. Better viewed full size. Her majesty, along with her royal entourage, in their appearance at the faire, just prior to joining the parade of participants. Now that's what a medieval queen should look like, all beautiful, bejeweled, and decked out in an opulent costume. I like the way it was presented, with the initial introduction of the grand lady, along with the respectful bowing of the heads and kneeling by her loyal subjects. Since I was taking pictures I was excused from doing any of that stuff. Actually, I don't bow to royalty in any event. In foto #3 she is delivering a sacred blessing of some sort in honor of the festivities. Adieu, thankx for looking in, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

Very nice shots, and I just love all the glorious color in this series. Some of the mens' costumes are really rather weird.

Both my daughters worked the RenFest annually for a few years...costumes, play acting, etc., etc. They had a ball. Your collage really shows her highness off well...I see this and think of '37 Fords...I must be quite mixed up. Lol.

Excellent images with great captures of expressions and poses! I also like the creepy guy in the first image. He looks like he is planning dastardly deeds. The guy next to the queen in the third shot looks very mournful. Great costumes. It looks like Jack Sparrow is there.
