Description
The wealth of early Eureka was built on fishing and lumber. One of the lumber barons was William Carson who had come to California looking for gold but built one of the first lumber mills in the area. In 1885 he built a magnificent home at 143 M Street. It remained in the family until 1950 when it was purchased by the Ingomar Club. While here I looked all over for Norman Bates but could not find him.

Mike is right - but it's a wonderful, beautiful house ** WOW ** One thing I would have loved. Or rather not. I have a lot to clean and no time photograph any more. A DREAM!!

What unbelievable architecture and haunting looking building, reminiscent of the movie: 'Psycho', I can just hear the screams ... sorry, wrong pic - screaming only with delight of this apparition or former renovators delight - details, details, details brill image, thanks for sharing Mark BB
