Description
This is a launch of the shuttle Discovery but not todays launch. This is from March 15, 2009 with my old Minolta. I like this shot because they do not blast off straight up. The moment they lift off, the earth is rotating out from under the shuttle so it looks like it launches in an arc. Chip (Chipka) could explain it better that I. It was an evening launch so the vapor trail catches the sunset.
Magik is a wonderful artist and I love his work. He went through my online photo gallery, picked out his favorites and made a video for me. If you have the interest, check it out:

If you check it out, let me know what you think! Thank you Magik - you are a wonderful friend.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.

Very cool capture, Dana and wonderful explanation - what is neat about today's shuttle flight is that a family friend and home town boy, Mike B. is on that flight

This must be amazing to see!! I have seen the video & it is wonderful Dana, I see Magik is onto his second one of yours. xx
Great capture, Dana! A very unusual shot I think because of the Sun light thru the trail of vapor gives it these great colors. I've visited the link and I must say MagikUnicorn video really give your photos a great presentation which they deserves! :o) Best wishes, Rhanagaz
