Description
"The two travellers were in a little bit of a hurry. They had to be out of the forest and at their first, preliminary destination, the little village, before nightfall. On a tip from the forester they took a shortcut through a rarely used pathway. Riding through a small glade they spot a large bird taking off..."
The trees have changed from oaks to beeches. The forest is a little darker and hence the vegetation is still a little springlike.

beautiful work
I love that you are combining a little story with your stunning artwork. It always seemed perfectly suited for illustration. Fantastic scene, the lighting and vegetation is perfect.
The best yet in this series.
Incredible lighting and forest vegetation.
Wonderful picture.
Atemberaubend schön!!!
Beautiful scene!
What can I say. This is just fantastic. Best Vue render I have seeen for a while.
A wonderful scene with fantastic lighting!
Superlative perfection !
Just top notch work. Fantastic looking veg and great variety. Excellent render and lighting.
Your magic is definitely at work again here! I am always so amazed at your forest scenes. No one can do them any better than you!
beautiful composition! will there be a large bird?
Excellent render indeed very realistic!!
It's the small touches that draw me back, time and again, to your work. the fallen, moss covered tree in the leaf-filtered light and cow-parsley growing up above the other foliage add a deeper aspect of realism. Excellent as always. Huw Carr.
Impressive work.
EXCELLENT!
your light, your trees, and your underbrush are absolutely phenomenal. the horse is less believable, but i'm not sure what can be done about that. i've been viewing lots of photos of horses lately, and the anisotropic highlights based on the direction of their coat are very important to their shading. the god rays are just beautiful, and i like the composition.
High quality image and a great work! 5+++
Oh, fantastic lighting and forest look.
