Description
Finally at Beaverlac, the campsite, for the next two days. This is at the nearest pool on the Ratel river. The water looks brown but is crystal clear, fish visible swimming over the rocks below. With the temperature at around 35°C (95°F) the cool water ± 20°C (68°F) was bliss.
Almost hidden behind a bush on the left is a friend, just to give some sense of scale. I managed to fall off the rock I was on after this shot and scraped my knee a bit. Mainly because I was too concerned about damaging the new camera! The camera is fine, my knee time will heal!
A Ratel, by the way, is the Afrikaans name for a Honey Badger.
Enjoy life!

What a gorgeous place to kick back and enjoy the weekend! So glad to hear your new cam wasn't damaged. :P Physical ails will take care of themselves!
It looks a perfect day at a most beautiful place. Peace and quiet without a care in the world out there. Joy.
The water is the same color as in and around the Knysna forests. Marvelous swimming pool and a stunning place. Glad your camera is fine. Hoepfully the knee didn't take away some of your joy of the weekend!
Wow. A heavenly place and a heavenly photo.
