Description
This is the famous LOVE statue in Philadelphia. The building right at the end of the street (about 2km away) is the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The street is lined on both sides with flags of the world! When I took this image I was literally frozen to the bone... I was only slightly colder than this in Chicago!!! :):)
Thank you for visiting and for your welcome comments and favs on my upload "Sunset Across the Hudson" of yesteray.
Stay well.
Hugs
Carin xx
ps - I just realized that their might be a small animal in the cradle of the "L". I checked on the large image but I'm not sure. ???

Iconic. A creative point if view. (Hulle ry aan die verkeerde kant!!) Clive
Excellent composition and a most interesting subject. Yup, a squirrel...I have looked hin directly in the eyes:) Philadelphia: City of Brotherly Love. Then why is Philly universally known as a very tough town? Fun to ponder...lots to see...lots of history.
Ah, yes, the Love sculpture by Robert Indiana ( American, 1928- ). Originally designed as a Xmas card in 1964, it was first displayed as a sculpture in NYC in 1970. The original has been on display at the Indianapolis Museum of Art since 1975. The USPS put the design on an 8 cent stamp in 1973, and it's been in continueous re-release ever since. There are now copies of this statue in cities all over the world. All this from Wikipedia. Love this shot, Carin. It looks COLD. And I know cold well! LOL. You do too. I can't tell what's hiding up in the L, looks like it could be a cat, but i suspect it's actually snow. You really should come back to America in our summer! Great shot!
Great shot and this became a US postage stamp. Just the four letters. Dana
