Description

I took this image on the day before my return to South Africa after my recent one month trip in the US and Canada. My hotel room had this tiny view of the Hudson River with this gorgeous warm sunset in the distance. I just loved how it contrasted with the cold blue midtown Manhattan buildings! Thank you for popping in and for your wonderful comments and favs on my upload "Fabulous Las Vegas" of yesterday. Stay well! Warm regards Carin xx

This pops with life and color, and you've mastered the trick I always try to apply to urban photography: get stuff at twilight, when colors get intense and jiggly! The sunset colors really offset the blues nicely in this and well, you caught the urban vibe so perfectly here. For a moment, I sat here counting windows and trying to imagine the sheer size of these buildings. I love it when I'm inspired to do things like that...and the details in this shot are really stunning. This is quite a fantabulous shot.
