Description
When Tara, Bill, Denise and I went to the Edmonds dockyard in Seattle, I managed to capture Mt Baker in the setting sun between the masts of some stunning boats with my newly acquired 200mm lens. It is probably not the most successfully composed shot but I really had no choice with all the boats in the way and had to work with what I had. I kind of like the result!
Thank you for popping in and your great comments and favs on my upload "Welcome to Detroit" of yesterday.
Stay well!
Warm hugs, Carin xx

WOW Carin, that is an amazing capture, especially after reading Tara's comments. xxxx
beautiful light and view, happy San Valentines day
A wonderful capture of this beautiful mountain.
Auntietk has summed it up quite well. Have traveled/hiked much of Washington state. Including the North Cascades NP and around Mt. Baker, but never have I been on Mt. Baker. This is a mountain that creates it's own weather and much of that weather is unkind. Many that live there don't catch this glimpse, so as auntietk said, and I quote "And you're worried about a couple of masts in the picture???". I would feel exhilarated at getting to see this let alone capture it's splendor. A rarely glimpsed scene, an instant fav!
wonderful !
Love the way you framed Mt Baker with the boat masts. Dana
