Description

Only in New York - 5 Yellow Cabs in a row at the traffic light. I thought that was quite neat. Shot this on my recent trip to the US. Thank you for your comments and favs on my upload "Through the Masts" of yesterday. I truly appreciate your support! Stay well! Hugs, Carin xx

Well spotted! What a great scene, they're much rarer around here, as you may remember! Of course, in New York it's impossible to drive anyway, so there have to be a lot of cabs...

Excelent selective coloring. How many was waiting behind them I bet a few more...lol.

Something you'd never see in Los Angeles, Carin. Great shot, I like the repetition. Like horses or human sprinters at the starting gate.

That's New York for you! A lot of everything. I've seen long lines of cabs outside of hotels or sports areas, but never this many abreast before at the same intersection! And all Fords as well. I wonder if they were all in use or trolling for business? Great shot that really captures the vibe of big city America.

What a great capture! I know there are a lot of cabs in NYC, but I've never seen it myself. Way to take advantage of opportunity, girl! I'm SO looking forward to seeing your photographs of your trip.

Maybe I'm an oddball, but the first thing I noticed was "Flashdancers Gentlemens Club" and then I noticed the cabs. What's up with that? Eh, I'm just weird I guess. And as for this shot, It screams New York, although it does so elegantly. I love the selective coloring and the overall composition, and I'm really glad to see this. New York...I have yet to ever go there, and so it's good to see it from here. This is a marvelous shot!

Just waiting for the green light and the flag to drop and then you are in for the terrifying ride of your life! And here I thought you were shooting an image of a shrine to people like us, the camera shop across the street.

Excellent shot and postwork. I like the comment of our times on the camera shop "fully digital"

Definitely novel in a county like mine but you should see Lima in Peru. Cars that aren't taxi's are in the minority there. You just have to look towards the road and half a dozen of them dive for the footpath in case you are looking for a cab.

Yep, New York cabs! So used to them now.. Thought it was cool first time then I found out how much they charge! lol (I didn't use - I heard!) But a cool shot and it was a buzz seeing the famous yellow cabs.. Bangor cabs are big 4-wheel drive tanks, with V8 engines! Just in case! lol Fun! Fun! Fun! Good shot Carin... Rob

Well, now I am just like Chip and Costa...my eye went right to the signs on top of the cabs:-) Neat shot...safe to assume you were crossing the street? Hope you were moving fast! Very creative.
