Description
This alligator was taking a nap on a submerged log. When the water level is lower, this log is normally covered with turtles. I figure s/he is about 9 feet (2.7 meters) long. Taken last week, at Wakodahatchee Wetlands, west of Delray Beach, Florida.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.

what? you mean you didn't go out and measure her/him to get exact dimension? Great capture
I wonder how much inches can he open his mouth. Nice capture, Dana!
Wonderful find and capture!
What a great shot. I bet the last thing the turtle's said was 'There goes the neighbourhood'!
(NOTE: EDITED for 'typos'. LOST a few fingers near DELRAY beach!). GRINS. Q: HOW do ya' tell if an alligator is a FEMALE? A: If 'it' buys shoes ''ON SALE''! WINK Reminds TallPockets of the old song hit by JERRY REED (R.I.P.) "AMOS MOSES". (SMILES) EXCELLENT shot!

Excellent lighting on the water to accentuate his presence in this great capture. I wouldn't even like to get this close.
