Description
With some tips from tutorials from both Mark Bremmer at his Dark Arts sight and Cripeman via youtube I learned some nice ways to make believable smoke and particales in Carrara.
I used 2 particle emitters. The cloud texture is a cloud object rendered with an alpha and then reapplied to the particles and some tweeting with the glow channel. Similarly the particle was created using Carrara rendering a light with lensflare with an alpha.
Then some tweeks. Hope you like it! Love Carrara!

interesting work...great info and advice...superb work
Beautifully done - great techniques and very dramatic scene.
Very kool work! Carrara can do a lot things - if you just know how. Very well done!
Nice work on the clouds I will have a look for the tutorials!
Came out very nice. Smoke is still not something that's done very well in Carrara.
Excellent!
Very well done! The steam/smoke clouds and glowing cinders look great.
Wow, VERY nicely done! I think I need to carve some time to work on this too - thanks for the inspiration LOL!
