Description
As illustrator usually I creates artworks for book covers or magazines on demand, but I long toyed with the idea to create illustrations of classic science fiction novels to put on the royalty free market, as usual for my spare pruduction.
Here's the cover of the novel Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke first published in 1972.

Love the lighting and effects in this one. Very well done.
Excellent! Love the colours. A too-faithful rendering would have made for a boring image - wasn't Rama a completely featureless cylinder? - but this strikes the perfect balance.
This would make a wonderful cover! There are a few spots where the texture on Rama repeats itself ;) but nice work nonetheless
