Description
It was a cold and windy day here yesterdaywith lots of sunshine so I thought I'd go shooting. For most of the time I was out I was miserable and cold with nothing to show for it.....Then I finally hit pay dirtwhen I came across this red shouldered hawk. This is not technically the best shot that I took, but I like it alot and think some of you will too.

Such a great pic of this lovely creature!
What can I say? Only Magic!!!
You certain live in an area rich in wildlife, you lucky devil.
simply magnificent
This is a perfect shot to show off the red on both sides of the wing. I love it!
Photos from the wild are difficult and you make this look easy. Super shot!
It's a beauty! I know that feeling of coming away with nothing much for the trouble, you did get lucky here!
It is a shot that shows so much detail of the bird, wonderful! I have these here along with red-tailed hawks but they seem to disappear when I run back into the house for my camera or they soar to nearly invisible. They emit their fearsome hunting scream to scare up the small birds they hunt, a resident Bluejay imitates this (just to aggravate I think). =D
gorgeous picture!!!!!!!
what a perfect shot...you must be very proud of this one......
For sure, I like it a lot ! and I'm jealous: I really would like to take such a shot myself ! :~)
Very nice catch on this.
I'm glad you were rewarded for your efforts.
