Description
The Jaribu Saddle-billed Stork is found in sub-Saharan Africa. The adult is typically 48–55 inches (122–140 cm) long, has a wing span of 90–111 inches (230–280 cm) and weighs 17.6 lbs (8 kg). Large males may stand as tall as 5 feet (1.5 meters). The beak can be up to 1 foot (30 cm) long, slightly upturned, ending in a sharp point. This male is resting on his knees and note that they bend in the opposite direction from human knees. Taken at the Miami Zoo with my old Minolta camera. Info from Wikipedia.
