Eventually I get a chance to do a quick upload from the USA!!!
I took this image on Thursday morning around 5:30am flying into New York from Johannesburg. The cloud cover over the Atlantic looked like cinnamon buns and the sunrise was just incredible. This was approximately 2 hrs before landing at JFK! I have not touched this image... no Photoshop on my work laptop!!!
Having a fab time in New York and looking forward to Philadelphia tomorrow and Monday!

Funny, but I know that feeling so well even flying into a new city here in the USA. Its lucky you had a clean window. LOL I usually end up next to one that is clouded and blurred so my photos come out mystical. Glad you are having a great time. Can't wait to see you later this month.

This is truly one of those Zowie Shots! I can imagine the fun you're having!!!! I should be on a plane going somewhere soon...well...not until AFTER a certain photo-ninja-sort-of-person visits Chicago...THEN I can go...out west first, then across one border or another. Anyway, enough of that...you mentioned cinnamon buns. I'm hungry now. This is a marvelous shot and I love the colors and the light, especially the colors and the cleanness of your window. How marvelous! Since you were just behind the wing, did you get to see contrails?
