Description
...over the entranceway to the "old" Federal Building downtown Seattle.
...the words grouchy, stubborn, indifferent come to mind as I think of characteristics of these animals...
...is this a warning for the average citizen that walks through the door???

This beautiful carving and great architecture Bill. Well seen and captured.
You caught the federal-worker spirit, Bill.
SO FUNNY! And also a fine shot.
Yes. Absolutely! And what a great capture of these beautiful carvings!
I love the central one giving you a raspberry! Went to apply for my passport yesterday - I can identify! Clive
Great capture, Bill
Great capture, they are cute :o)
Cool picture!!!
Very interesting ornaments and very nicely captured.
I say just growl back... :) nice capture.
Nice photo. One will have to delve into the symbolism of each animal to understand why they are there. But your impression is the same most people would have today. The perspective here is interesting - while actually looking UP, one could also interpret this as looking foreward from a semicircular concavity in the floor. Keep up the interesting work! :-)
Awesome capture Hugs Susan~
awesome, splendid image!
How cool and what a great entrance. This isn't what I was expecting when I read your title but it is very impressive all the same.
hehe.... I like that little caption! Definitely a warning, as one should "dare" to enter! A lovely POV and the subject is really unique and interesting! Love the lighting, and the way you have presented this!
Wonderful clarity and lighting in this capture of the ominous looking, but well sculptured, entrance to the Federal Office Building, Bill. Where angels fear to tread. The NFL Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and St Louis Rams football teams immediately came to mind when I read your title. And I think there is a Chicago Bulls pro basketball team.
splendid shot!!
Yes and believe me those same characteristics are perfectly replicated as a pacific version down here!
they mean something for sure. cool shot of them
And here I thought it was about football..... LOL! Excellent photo, Bill! That does seem to indicate the likelihood of being eaten alive by the inhabitants, now doesn't it? :-D
Lol, that was my first thought when saw where you took this shot!1
Abandon hope, all ye who enter here! LOL! Great capture, and the connection is unavoidable. :D
Great POV!
nie one
Great capture of these characters Bill, guess these symbolize the attitude of the Fed government...
They don't make it friendly do they? lol Great detail shot though mate! Well taken.. Rob
I love this. I am partial to the Lions, being a Leo myself and I'm quite fond of the Nemean Lion--the basis of the Nemaean Lion that keeps popping up in my gallery from time to time. I find it hilarious that all of these guys look hungry! This rocks.
