Description

A side profile of this beautiful eagle fast becoming one of my favourites along with my friend Luis Conte.. It is rather long- and broad-winged, with a wingspan of about 70 to 80 in and the slightly tapering tail is short by comparison and coloured black, with grey tips in fresh plumage. The adult has a white underside, sometimes with fine blackish stripes; its upperparts are dark grey with a blackish, brownish or bluish hue you can see in the head feathers. The feathers of the neck and the lowest dark feathers of the breast are somewhat elongated. Adults have an ash-grey-and-white zone on the wings, the silvery white seen clearly from afar. The female is distinguished by a reddish-cinnamon hue to the upper- and underwing secondaries and is considerably larger than the male.

Speechless again Danny.. In the past I used to play chess. I think I´ve heard of the Scheveningen variation, but please don´t ask me to play it :-)

The pose of this beautiful eagle is magnificient, the curve of feathers is very nice.. and the angle is so interesting.. The big size make great results for pics.. You did again a superb work my friend. Hugs. Luis. Happy New Year.
