Description
So Happy New Years everyone! I trust we are all recovering from last night's libations.
Today, I thought that I would take the time to remember two friends now past. Most of you know of Scoop (the female calico on the left) who passed away last February at the ripe old age of eighteen. She was, "the cat so nice, we fixed her twice".
However, she had a rather close friend named Dusty who passed away several years ago now. Dusty is on the right. He was a fifteen pound brown tabby male. Sometimes called a 'Siberian Tabby' though I do not believe that this is a genuine breed, more a reference to his size and preferred life style. Likely a former barn kitty, Dusty hung out in our garage. At home Dusty was simply called, "a big chunk of cat.". He also meowed like a girl.
I say "close friend" of Scoop's because in spite of the fact that both cats were 'fixed', they... ummm... didn't let the facts get in the way of a loud party if you know what I mean. And you do know what I mean, "it's 3am guys!". Hence the concern that someones' 'fixing' didn't exactly take in the first place.
I took this photo maybe twelve years ago. The date on the uploaded scanned file is from 2001 so I had to have taken it before then. Here we had a rare quiet moment at meal time. Normally these two would have been jumping and racing around my feet making all sorts of harmonized grunts and meows. What a chorus they were. Tuna is like cocaine for kitties. They really loved their food.
Gosh! they were fat.
Take care everybody!
