Description
...And good riddance sez I! The past year has not been a very good one for me, but I have high hopes for 2011. Hope an humor--two of the most important survival tools a person can have.
Spent New Year's Eve with the same group of friends that I have known for the past twenty some years. We have good eats and play board games, have intelligent and delightful conversation. When the new year arrives, we toast it with our faux-champaigne, then go directly home to bed.
Probably sounds very dull, but it has served us well as a way to ring out the old and bring in the new.
Puppy was very relieved to have us arrive home with the New Year.
Hope your celebrations were pleasant as ours.
As always, thanks for visiting the gallery and for your comments and encouragements during the past year. They mean a lot to me.
Jeremy

Happy New Year! May this one be better all around. Excellent underwater image. Great looking school of fish!
Agreed and Happy New Year!
Wonderful image, Jeremy and quite appropriate, all things considered Happy New year to you and your family
Happy New Year!!! Fine work!!!
We all hope that 2011 is a better year than the past! Excellent work! :)
That school of fish is amazing, and the overall scene well done.If I had to crit,I would say the wreck should look encrusted with barnacles etc. due to the length of time underwater...but that in no way takes away from the image! Hope you have a better New Year my friend!
nice scene Jeremy!
Very lovely underwater scene! Caustics, fishes, an ancient shipwreck , reefs :) Something one could expect to see when flipping open a National Geographic Magazine. Here's wishing you and your family all the best for 2011 ;)
I agree, that school of fish looks fantastic! I'm also glad to be rid of 2010, and hope that 2011 will be better for everyone, you included!
Very good light and scene.
Oh yes! I love the lighting.
Nicely done. Under water images is something I need more practice on lol
Nothing wrong with tradition, ours is no matter were we go, we're home by Midnight to let the New Year in. I'll join the prayer for better times all round for ALL of us. Great underwater scene and very topical (or should that be 'tropical'). A goal for me for 2011, a descent underwater render, I've never managed it yet. Happy New Year Jeremy, may your dreams become reality, and reality go like a dream.
Excellent work Jeremy!
Last year hasn't been mine too and it left with some bad stuff and the very and to keep me struggling into the new year too, so I know what you mean and beeing with your friends and just having a relaxed time is the best you can do. My hubbie and me were in no mood to go out and so we stayed just the two of us for this evening and not celebrating at all, which is just as well too. An how very right you are, hope and humor are the cure :)
