Description
A WM terrain including The Noble One trees by Walli; Stone Bed and Hero Rocks by FrankB available at NWDA; and, the ship model and dry grasses from a friend.
The composition appears as though an entity has built a dam flooding an almost dry river bed trying to float a relic ship back to the Chesapeake Bay.

WOW, fantastic scene! Awesome clouds and lighting. Looks very real! Corrie
Excellent Robert. Do you know there are legends of suken ships in the Salton Sea? When the Colorado spilled over, it was said that ships sailed in from the sea of Cortez. Legend also says these were Treasure ships. A fine scene, just begging for a answer.
Great scenery, great landscape - Happy New Year!!
Wonderful composition, details and lighting!!! Happy New Year to You and Yours!!!

That's a sweet one! Very well done, Bob!
Realistic! Happy 2011!
Since I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay this scene is a bit hard to imagine. You will find 2 kinds of river landscapes adjoining the Chesapeake Bay. 1.) South River flat with no rocks. http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&expIds=17259,27642&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=south+river+maryland+photos&cp=21&qe=c291dGggcml2ZXIgbWFyeWxhbmQgcGhvdG9z&qesig=Q81GWiyMxZAnzRj0vViK1Q&pkc=AFgZ2tmXOAxQp63mGM-cbRDrYGVoteQL1EsGMuah4V8M5MO27D3Yl2ZD_RKtlPTn3qbYdQFWPFrLgwdGbui90Y2rPyOUZNpUzQ&client=firefox-a&hs=boN&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=YQIeTcyXIZH6sAOOw-TNAg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CCIQsAQwAA&biw=1600&bih=690 2.) Upper Patomic River with narrow valleys, tree topped mountains and lots of rocks. http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=hoN&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&biw=1600&bih=690&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=patomic+river+maryland+photos&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= Hopes this helps.
