Just takes my breath away, love those rich bright colors, yet still a softness about it, almost like a water color painting. Very beautiful!
Fantastic art work. It has a wonderful calming effect. I wish you the best in the coming year.
Lovely! It seems so different in one way but yet so Carol in the end! All my best wishes to you girlfriend!
This is wonderful..
REMARKABLE!!! Bravo!
see, Carol? I'm only on image 4, and I've already been here over an hour! That's why it takes me so long here! Well, I went back to this one because I love it. And, two, because, while I don't know your work well enough to know how your styles have 'changed' over time, I'm struck by the fact that this piece, today, might be awash in deep chakric waves. I'm not saying you haven't done undulant light before now, as your earlier works here are awash in undulating hues. And that's only what you show here...But this is one of your more 'straight forward' paintings, as if for card designs or book illustrations, etc., or for a children's book or fairytale-folklore tales; and it's just delightful. Enchanting & delightful. I can see your undulations in the greens, reds, purples of the fruits. The Jungle Eyes series has great clarity, but the elements interact as if from a deep inner wave. Here, those waves are subtler, allowing the fruits & leaves & trunk, etc, to speak in separate voices. The trunk is a very folkloric trunk (twisted, mysterious), and the 'abundance' is gentle & playful, which makes it such a children's tale image. A gentle, beautiful image, lush and also folklike. You give holidays such a magical embrace... I have to stop now, but I WILL get to your recent flower series: I've seen them several times since they went up, and I have comments in the wings. But I've been here almost an hour & a half, so I'll come back soon. At least I jumped in after so many months, and commented. A beautiful, radiant gallery, and it's always a pleasure to come here, no matter how long I've been away...
