Description
South Florida is in the midst of its annual dry season. Since we irrigate our lawn, shrubs and trees directly from our lake, the area of the lake shrinks and algae forms on the surface. I took this photo, not for the algae, but because of the patterns that it formed. Zoom for the best view.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.

Looks like soup is just about ready! Great capture, Dana
Very cool patterns!! Amazing how intesting patterns appear in the oddest of places!! I don't think we'll be having any algae here...we are in the midst of the first snow of the season...and it's a doozy...they are saying 20-25 inches for us. So, knowing you're from New Hampshire, you know what it's like...enjoy the warmth of Florida my friend!!!!
It is a wonderful pattern, shows the current in the pond...reminds me of an agate!
beautiful pattern :)
Gorgeous textures you captured Dana, great work!
Well seen Dana. This is the kind of thing I would walk past without even noticing!
Pea soup? Well seen and captured Dana.
From the ebot title I was expecting a pic of the diners in Subway!

The algae came through with esoteric paisleylike patterns in this cool capture, Dana.
This pattern has a very fractal like spiral to it. Well spotted and captured.
Welcome back home Dana! We're glad to have you back. That is the best looking pond scum I've ever seen. Looks like a fractal!
Looks like the bottom of one of my water tanks last summer, hope it doesn't smell as bad, Nice shot.
Sorta like retro green pond painting, just with very small artists ! Intriguing capture and soothing result ! Christmas ~Cheers~ Dana to you & your Family :o)
