Description
This is a specimen, from my collection, called Malachite. This was a gift, from my son Dana (USANomad), many years ago. It sits on my desk as a paperweight and it is a copper carbonate mineral. The copper gives it the greenish color. It has been polished and does not look like this in its natural form.

Oh, one of my favorite stones!! I just love the swirls of colors and contrast of the light and dark green. I have a malachite ring that I love for that reason. This is a beautiful specimen!
