Description
A very overcast sky so this is the best shot I could get of the St. Augustine lighthouse.
Taken a few years ago with my old Minolta.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.

I'm looking at the side where it appears there's a ladder popping out onto a door and one heck of a first step if you turn the wrong way Great capture
Great shot Dana. It's painfully obvious I'm sure, but a local lighthouse keeper was telling me how the colours/patterns on each lighthouse are decided upon to help the tower stand out in the day time as much as possible. I don't know the reason, but I have personally never seen a striped one near here. They all seem to be plain old white!
wondeful shot!!
Lovely shot Dana. Looks like he is about to haul up his dinner!
I often wonder how they get the stripes so perfect. Imagine your brush dripping!

EXCELLENT!
Great Scott, I never thought there was such a thing as a barber pole lighthouse, but there it is! Pretty good shot considering the adverse lighting conditions, Dana.
Most shots are with a blue sky, I kind of like it this way!

Our awesome, haunted lighthouse. I live in Saint Augustine, as well! +5
