My re-imagining of Dasher as a larger than life super-hero. Each of the members of the Reindeer Team are presumably from Christmas City in the North Pole in Greenland, and each of them have their own family names, with several of them being related to each other in the case of Donner and Rudolph being father and son respectively, and Dancer and Prancer being twin brothers. This suggests that there are many more magical reindeer people of their kind running around Christmas City, but how exactly they all came to be is a mystery that is yet to be explained. Plus, this particular set of reindeer all have unique super-powers that make them super-heroes in addition to just being the nine reindeer that help Santa every Christmas night. The origins of how any of them got their abilities is a mystery as well, and why are they mutant humanoids, and not just regular looking reindeer as depicted in most legends? Were they simply created by Santa’s magic, or the elves’ magic to assist in the protection of Christmas City and their populace, or are they just some kind of unique species of beings that have always existed in the area? Each of their bios also give a bit of info on their roles in helping Santa deliver all of the gifts on Christmas Eve, such as Comet being the fastest flier and Dasher being the fastest runner, and them combining their powers is what lets them get everything done in one night, as well as Dancer and Prancer being the ones to sneak in to households and deliver the gifts with their ninja skills, which they mysteriously learned from who knows where. So, this also begs the question as to whether or not there is an actual sleigh, and if there is it more like some sort of high tech spacecraft rather than a traditional sled pulled by the reindeer? Because, there is no way that these humanoid mutants are pulling an actual sleigh around. And, going back to what is stated above, could they have once been the traditional magical reindeer who were once somewhat normal animals who were given the power of flight via the Christmas magic, and then at some point later changed into their humanoid forms? That is a possibility, but it still doesn’t explain how they all have their own family names if there aren’t others who are mutants like they are, which is weird in and of itself, but even weirder if they were humanoid, but the rest of their families are just regular deer. As of right now though, they are what they are, and any further back story for any of them or any future members of their kind apart from this main group is to be determined. But, I can see it just being that they are indeed all part of a special magical race of deer-people who have just kind of always existed in secret, and we can just leave it at that. Even with that simple explanation though, there is still room for further exploration into how each of the members of this group came to be set apart from the rest of their kind in becoming the team that they are now with the abilities that they have that put them above and beyond the average member of their kind.
