Description
The European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) is insectivorous, and typically consumes insects including caterpillars, moths, and cicadas, as well as spiders. While the consumption of invertebrates is necessary for successful breeding, starlings are omnivorous and can also eat grains, seeds, fruits, nectars, and garbage, if the opportunity arises...

Beautiful shot! Really lovely detail
A very good color photo!
I like how you feature a bird that is often overlooked. Starlings are so interesting and you really got this one at a perfect moment.
ILs sont bien nourris ..Splendide photo dont tu nous a servi sur un beau plateau:) Joyeux noël a toi et famille!
I completely agree with MrsLubner. Right at this moment my garden is ringing with starling chatter, perched high in one of my Scots Pines. I love their chatter and they are very welcome, along with all the others, to my feeding tables. Really fabulous shot! Perfect! ^=^
