Description
A "Great New Era" they had promised, but for all of their fancy gadgets and newfangled doohickeys and contraptions she wished her beau had just kept the horse and buggy he'd owned. At least she hadn't had to wait while he stoked a boiler or fixed a leaky pipe just to come pick her up in the evenings. The horse seemed to be a little more sure-footed in the snow as well. She longed for a simpler time.
