Sweet. You may have run into Human Nature, some young Oz boys who are singing there with Barry Manilow! I just googled his real name....Barry Alan Pincus! Hey I learnt something new!
Wonderful shot for Corey! I love all that is happening here in neon!
Fantasmagorical. How's that for a superlative not often seen on RR:)
Fabulous capture of the night lights and a nice dedication also..
Oh, it's not even my birthday and I love this! I have to say that anything with big red lips in it is OK in my book! I love those lips! They're so...lip-ish! The whole picture is really alive and fun, and that's the best part of it. The composition is really great...it has that "you're smack dab in the thick of it all" vibe to it. Yeah, this rocks! The colors are really vivid and inviting, really warm. Nice. Really frikkin' nice and it's a perfect dedication too. Corey will love it. I'm at his place again, digesting an overstuffed burrito with extra cheese and he's doing the same, only making those funny sleep noises people make when they sleep after eating birthday burritos, but I'm sure he'll see this tomorrow/today. This rocks: the picture I mean, and not the burrito digestion.
LOve the excitement of lights... Happy Birthday Corey.... Aloha
Love those humungous lips top right!!
Live music daily! Most excellent. Let's go see what they've got going! I'm with the lip lovers ... shades of Rocky Horror!! This shot has everything going for it. Happy Birthday to Corey!
wowwwwwww.
Very good capture and wonderful dedication
This is Vegas at its finest. Glitz Galore. Dana
Vegas baby you got to love it, nice capture. lights at night are a tough capture and you did a great job. I wish I was there :)
Yep, the essence of Sin City, all right here in one great shot...excellent capture!
Excellent! I'm sure Corey will love it. I think we need a ninja photog gathering in Vegas this spring before it gets too hot.
Oh, I LOVE this! So bright and garish and wonderfully over the top. Hmmmmmmm, remind you of someone? Moi, perhaps?( Oh my god, did I just refer to myself as moi?)Scary! Anyway, I love the hustle-bustle and energy of this shot coupled with that bit of "naughty" that Vegas does so well. Yes, the lips really do add a lot. They look as if they're poised to bend over and kiss the top of the adjoining building. Love this, and especially how clear the neon writing came out. As we all know, timing is everything, and this is spot on. Thanks for birthday whishes and this wonderful dedi. An aside: for those of you who don't know, Barry Manilow started out as a commercial jingle writer and is responsible for the early Seventies "You deserve a break today" McDonald's spot, among numerous others.
love how you got all that mysterious receding shadow above the huge blast of neon in the lower half. And you left in those lips atop, just enough to show the many layers of attention-getting on every street in Vegas. Love the shot. And I see corey did too. I knew ol' B. Manilow was a commercial jingle writer, and he wrote several famous jingles; but didn't know he was still in Vegas though! (Interesting comments!) (And yeah, he was one of several entertainers who changed their names. Muddy Waters---the blues singer---was McKinley Morganfield. Somehow, calling a guy who's singin', "Ah got a woman, she lives on a hill..." by the name "McKinley" leaves a lot to be desired.) A striking capture, just what I expected when you went to Vegas. Love the darker sections too, fine contrast. The 'mysterioius underside' of the city. And wonderful for Corey, one of our favorites on RR, who loves the spontaneous capture too! Happy Birthday Corey, once more!
