Description
...been scratching my head concerning what to do with a 100+ year old, rusty, decommissioned, railroad swing-bridge photographed on a very gray, rainy day ten months ago.
...This rather abstract solution was inspired by an upload of "Planet Seattle" by MrsRatbag seen here.

Nice post work Bill, now it just goes around and around and around and around ..
Splendid work!!!!
Are you sure that's not an sky view of your last cup of coffee!!!!!
Oh wow! Is this what you have been doing while Tara and I were chatting just now??? Fantastic pw Bill! You will have to teach me how to do this! I really like a lot!
WOW !SO beautiful indeed. Didnt I know what it was, I would think about a dreamcatcher :-)
Nice work Bill, at least you can't get lost crossing this one.
As I recall, that really was a bridge to nowhere. That was a fun day with Denise, and I'm glad you went back looking for things to play with. That image made a fantastic "planet" piece! I need to get busy and do a little practicing with this technique. Very cool!
Excellent and interesting, Bill!
Wow, Bill! And I thought you had started working for a local eye doctor (photo of a very sick patient's eye)! Chuckle, laughter. I've looked at the link, too. I just can't figure out how this is done, but it looks great. There are a rare few paintings from the 1600s that are like this - the idea was to place a silver cylinder in the middle of the painting in order to see what it represented by looking at the reflection on the cylinder's polished mirror-like surface. There was a bit of trompe l'oeil experimenting among some of the old masters back then. This is particularily fun as it's an old rotating bridge going around to nowheres. Really nice concept. Now you folks will have to create a tutorial to teach the rest of us! Keep up the fun work! :-)
Neat stuff Bill...!!!
interesting postwork
Great work. Very well done
Another great one Bill!!!
Perfect solution, Bill! You did well with this; it look like it goes down forever in the center! I'll have to go back to my shots from that day and see what else I've got hiding in the files. Between the weather and some physical issues I haven't been able to get our shooting in a couple of weeks!
stupendous!
Splendid , interesting work ! Perfect postwork !
Wow - an interesting bit of postwork on this bridge, Bill. Kinda like that hotel you can check out of anytime, but you can never leave... You just go around and around forever! Superbly cool!
Well done! This is a fun thing to do with the odd photo. : )
This is mind bending stuff Bill. Brilliant, so open to misinterpritation on first glance, but then the details bring it into context.
BEAUTIFUL and intersitng- technical and esotheric- all your experience is in this pic! thats mature;)
Very creative Bill. Love it! I don't think I would ever think of something like this!
outstanding composition! a most imposing image!
a hairy bridge no less
Love your creativity.
Great image Unique too Hugs Susan`
And both of these images- your "Bridge to Nowhere" and Denise's "Planet Seattle" blow my mind. Fantastic photo manipulation. Dana
WOW! A kaleidoscope bridge! I really love the way you've made something so concrete as an abandoned bridge into something abstract! I love the colors in this: those nice, muted grays, the dark brown of rust and impressively heavy iron. This whole image is a nice twist on something familiar...well, familiar to somebody. I haven't been to that neck of the woods yet, but I know I'll see it and hopefully live close by at some point. This is really nice.
Around and round she goes. Creative! Clive
