Description

My latest model for the Vue community. PLEASE ZOOM IN. While in the past I have provided a single structure or in the case of the windmill, an entire scene, I wanted to provide something special in support of a new collaboration which I will mention later, for the holidays. The Flemish Village provides the Vue user 7 individual buildings, an outhouse, a wagon, a dock, a canal lock, a water lift, sacks, barrels, single & bundled lumber, stone dock walls, piers, and even a hangman's post. All of this to be arranged as you desire or simply used as shown here on a two part terrain. I have also provided the trees as obj. 780,699 polys, 119 textures, 102 objects, this scene was rendered in custom in less then an hr on a macmini in Vue 9. I have made interior walls so that lights can be used inside not for interior set ups but exterior night scenes. Most doors are open and first floors textured for those who want to do close ups. Outside shop stalls are modeled so one can add food, bottles etc. This model is in support of my collaboration with Tony Meszaros, of Realms Art. Tony is currently developing a package of clothing, poses, and props to cover the peasant class for those of us doing historical scenes throughout the middle ages. This effort will cover both male and female using M4/V4. The M4 package is still under development, but I have created a close up scene around my Village to show you what is possible even at this early stage in a 2nd posting tomorrow. When completed over the next few months, those who have been asking me will be able to finally place appropriate figures in their interior, exterior 11-16th century scenes.

What a good picture (though I thought that in those days it was always deep winter in Flanders)

Already when I saw the title in the mail, "Flemish Village" I knew it would be something special! And lightweight, only 780K! Finally Don has understood what to do with his talent, where can I order? I hope it is okay that more than one person constructs characters and clothing for this scene, count me in.
