Indeed, I miss those days. I get to relive them through my kids now and I have to remind myself, to slow down, but the gift buying and the bill paying/worrying away for a few minutes and just see the holidy through their eyes. Take a breath.

I recall placing an antique star on our scraggly Christmas trees as a child.my mother was so proud of the star.she was not religious as attending church, but had a set of ethics.she would place a shirt or pants in layaway for months to enable it to be paid by Christmas so my younger sister and myself would have a present. if we got a toy it was from Salvation Army, back when they actually was a blessing to those in need.now to purchase from them,one is making a donation and paying an inflated price that usually equals new price for something that has less than 20 % of the price they want. luckily there is a few places selling used stuff for those without means at a price affordable.wonderful scene Dawn
