Description
...fastest manmade thing I've ever photographed:)
...found sitting in a quiet corner of the Research & Development hangar of the US Air Force Museum...no ropes, no fences. Neat to be able to rub elbows with history.
Details for model makers (like neiwil) to include interior cockpit shots on this fascinating fact sheet page.

P.S. Zoom worthy...

A faschinating thought alright. It is quite fantastic.
I'm sure it's quite fascinating! I love your postwork. That blueprint style background works really well for a dark plane like this. Excellent work! :*
Another of my favorites! The X-15 - it looks like it's going 2000 mph just sitting still! Excellent photo, Bill!
Bang Zoom!!!! To the moon, Alice! Great Scott, they left this momentous piece of history unguarded and unprotected? What trusting souls. The North American X-15, a beauty of a quasi spacecraft. I remember it well. Anyway, excellent POV and image, especially considering the lighting conditions. Your ISO 800 saved the day.
