Description
ZOOM! I left this big.
Seattle skyline again.
This one isn't a pano ... it's a single image, cropped down and postworked.
Bill and I are having the best time fiddling around with the cityscapes we shot when we were in West Seattle this weekend!
This one was taken at the same time as the others. It's a daylight shot ... we didn't sit there and wait until it got dark.
I just love postwork. What a hoot! :)

The hotspots and highlights - or a bugs eye view! Good fun! Clive
What a strange effect! Great!
Yes, postwork is almost the best part of photography I sometimes think...great effect here! Wonderful image!
I like the result - very interesting image.
Beautiful image and postwork! I love the light on the buildings and the water!
How about that! You never cease to surprise me, Tara!! Clever and beautiful too.
beau travail!
nice work both of you
well done !
Version #4 sparkles in yet another way...noir, no less. RodS has suggested we visit for night shots which sounds good to me for some future, clear night. So, there may be a #5 and #6 yet to come. I saw you postwork this but got lost after about your third or fourth step. I totally agree with MrsRatbag, postwork often times is more than half the fun. Well done you:)
Interesting image!!!
Great job on this. Surprising what can be done in Photoshop!
great post work - love the lights in the building and the light on the water
Now this is SO GOOD. Let's see... first you inversed the image, then you..., no, you didn't because you have the sun refection in the windows, so you...??? Aw, shucks! I give up! Now, just HOW did you do this? Looks like real fun with Photoshop, plus some SECRETS! Looking foreward to more, and some secrets! :-)
Now that looks AWESOME Tara. Superb postwork and it fits so beautifully to this view.
This is really cool, Tara - I like the effects you've brought out, here! Isn't messing around in Photoshop/Gimp/PSP/etc just more fun tan a barrel of monkeys? I could spend literally HOURS just playing with stuff like this. Really nice! You and Bill ought to go back at night, and get this shot. Think of the postwork possibilities of that! :-D
City at dark. City at night would have been City nuit. But you knew that. Interesting!, as Andrea likes to say.
Here comes Tara with her talent! This is super cool, love the outline of the city 'at night'.
Wonderful capture and postwork!
Wow! This is superb Tara. I mean really, really GOOD! I think I know what you did but I'll keep the secret uh, secret.
Super post work on this Tara, excellent!!
Wow! Neat effects! And you are right best seen big! lol Cool work Tara! Rob
Oh yeah, postwork rocks!! And what you did with this shot REALLY rocks--wow!!
Beautiful effect! :)
Gorgeous work! I know some of the effects used in this, but have yet to use them myself...and I love the blending, the melding, the overall sense of orchestration; this is having a really great effect on me. I love the color tones, the reflection on the water, bright in all of that darkness...and I like that the darkness is textured, rich and detailed. There's so much to see in this, so much to enjoy and I'm enjoying it immensely. It makes me want to write! That is always a good thing!
A beautiful night time capture.
Great postwork. Stunning.
Interesting effect...great post work
