Description
...some may say I had too much time on my hands with this photo.
I was looking for something different:)
This is a view of downtown Seattle looking eastward across Elliot Bay from West Seattle where the first pioneers landed at Point Alki in 1852. Can you imagine their view...nothing but thick evergreen forest where today, a mere 158 years later, we have this metropolis.
Bill:)
P.S. Zoom worthy.

great job you've done, Bill!
a wonderful job with threshold filters, getting that gritty grainy look of all the b&w particles of an image, that go to make up a whole. I've never done a pano, never; but you've done several, and they're all seamless. So is this. Your choice of stark white sky & water---true to genuine b&w---is perfect. And you used the threshold filtering very well, getting nice interplay between solid blacks & those grainy whites---a beautiful abstract of patterns & light. And imagine what the explorers would've felt if, coming here 158 years ago, they saw this skyline: Their jaws would've dropped. They'd have never imagined that in a mere century & a half, a city like this would rise up. Fine job bill, you used the time on your hands very well!
Fantastic pano and very zoom worthy. It has the great look of and antique metal negative. Dana
