A jar of Marbles...what do you call them?

Great subject! I love the light and glass interplay. Beautiful! (I've always called 'em marbles. The clear ones with the swirly bits inside were called cat's eyes.)
As kids we had all sorts of names...cat's eyes, crystals, bomb rollers, and even banana splits for the ones with the opaque blue and yellow or black and yellow! And of course, for the smaller very smooth ones...shooters! Great capture! :)
A really brought-to-life image! Great subject, I must agree! The lighting is terrific, it adds such a wonderful mood and atmosphere to the capture! Beautiful marbles...
What a great photo! It amazes how so many people on here can take photos of everyday things we may over look...and turn them into something wonderful to look at. Yes, I have always known the clear ones with the pretty colors as cat's eyes...and the ones that are not see through as 'aggies'. Brings back memories of childhood. I never really played marbles, but I had a nice collection.
