I like this a lot and it's coming along really great. My only suggestion would be the lettering of Joe's Diner. Might want to use a font of somekind rather than the hand drawn. To me, I think that would cover it. Even though you want me to focus on the diner, the outside scene is very well done too...
It's a gret research of reality scene...if you like I can send you by e-mail a complete set of 3D letters to put in vue d'esprit,they are complete resizing and if you set on a glowing mat they became very realy sign.
