Ah, I bet the thought that will come to a lot of people's minds when they see this render is 'come on...parrots are tropical birds and this one is in the snow and ice.' Well, I'm here to say that while it IS true that they are tropical birds, they can and have adapted. There is actually a small flock of these blue and gold parrots in the Black Forest of Germany. Bird experts believe that they escaped from a zoo during WWII... And, there used to be parrot breeders near us here in New Hampshire, USA and they use to allow the birds out into a very large, netted in area in the winter. The birds had access to go outside when ever they wished and then to go back into the heated house they lived in. Also, there is a breeder of red-bellied parrots (VERY partial to these as we have one!)who lives in Minnesota and he goes out into the bird building in the mornings in the winter and he chops a hole in the ice on the bird bathing area and the birds come and drink and bathe. BRRRR!!! So, really enjoyed this render!!!!
Beautiful work! Great to see you back!
