Description
This is possibly my first upload for November. I have just been working crazy, crazy hours. I thought of apologizing but it is my job and the latter half of the year is always busy for me - with this year overly so.
There is a very definite purpose in uploading this image which I took in Central Park on Manhattan a couple of years back! The reason - my hard work has been acknowledged and I'm heading back for another trip to the US and Canada early next year!!!!! I am so excited.... I am planning to work in some personal time while travelling around to try and meet as many of you as I can. At this stage the cities on my itinerary are Toronto, New York and Philadelphia with LA, San Francisco, Chicago and Calgary definite possibilities. I will keep you posted!
I have been scanning through the galleries and have seen all your wonderful images. I will not even try to catch up but there are some galleries that I will re-visit.
I really am missing you all and will try and be back more regularly as soon as possible.
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

Congratulations Carin!!! This picture is very beautiful. So fine you get recognition for your hard work. I'm happy for you, you go to the USA, and meet your friends, it will be fantastic. Hugs back :)
Carin, this is a wonderful pic, I bet you will have an amazing time meeting everyone, you will have a ball. xxxx
A wonderful photo as always. I hope that your trip will allow more pictures to leave us as interesting as this. A very warm greeting.

How exciting!! I've no idea what you do, but very pleased to hear that the reward hard work!
I don't see Nashville or Tennessee on your list. :) But some great cities on your list I have been to them all, but the Canadian ones. Happy travels. Beautiful photo of Central Park, I will be traveling there in April with my daughters school.
The sepia tone makes any shot seem a historic capture. This is a beautifully composed shot, well done!
Agree with kaward, wonderful historic approach! RS
WOW ! it sounds really exciting. I hope your trip will be wonderful. This is a really beautiful shot Carin. :)
Ek is so opgewonde om te sien jy, ek kan skaars wag! Ons is gretig wag op die finale roete. (Roete? Is that right? I mean itinerary, and I'm not sure roete is the right word.) I love this in mono ... it's such a lovely mood! I've never been to New York, but it's on my list!
A beautiful sepia image Carin.
Congratulations Carin. Glad to see you back and to hear such good news that you will be visiting America and Canada. Superb capture Carin.
belle photo!
Geluk! A wonderful capture of a memory for you to look forward to seeing again! For me ... London... a real possibility for me to relive some memories there... Clive
Tara - maybe you and Bill should fly over to New York while I'm there! I can show you around... LOL... I know New York MUCH better than my own city - as strange as that may sound! Roete is correct! :):)
a wonderful trip soon !!! beautiful photo here !
Congratulations for the acknowledge of your work, Carin! I'm happy for you! I hope your journey is filled with every satisfaction! :) Splendid image... I love sepia tone! :)
AWESOME IMAGE!
Splendid image! Wonderful sepia tone!
Great image and wonderful news! Congratulations
Glad to see you're up and about and have my city as a possibility to visit! Postcard perfect, with stellar POV, clarity and detail in this capture, Carin!
I fell in love first with the thumbnail. The full image took my breath. I have photos and postcard photos from my grandfather's box of memories that look just like this. The mono is exquisitely done. It has touched my heart...and I can't wait for Costa and I to meet you in San Francisco. I'll even brave the train to get there. :-)
PJ echoed my feelings about this. Your choice of subject and the sepia tone makes this image timeless. It could be a picture from my parent's photo album. Most of my family lives in New York so I don't need much of an excuse to visit. If you can't make it to the West Coast perhaps some of us could arrange a meet-and-greet in the Big Apple. I haven't had a New York pizza in such a long time.
Well done Carin, I know you deserve it
wonderful sepia, Carin! welcome back home
wonderful view!!!!!
Wonderful.
Fantastic capture of Central Park and the sepia look works so well with the age of the buildings. I've been to all the cities that you mentioned and allare great places to visit. Dana
