Description
I was over at the pond and had seen it was covered in some kind of fuzz when my girlfriend showed me that it was just the cat tails and when touching them how the exploded with seeds.It was fascinating to watch how fast it was happening so i tried to catch one as it was happening and this is the best one i could get but she taught me something new i never realized about them.

I love cat tails. they remind me of corn dogs lol. food :) when they are at this point they feel so soft inbetween your fingers. it would be great to have a blanket that felt this soft. great capture and story behind the shot

Very nice shot! I also didn't know that cat tails exploded. So one day we went to a pond on our property and I cut some to bring into the house for fall. They looked so nice in a very tall vase. well, we went away for a short vacation and when I came back, yep, they had exploded and getting them out of the house was SO hard because just the slightest breeze set the seeds off, LOL. But they ARE so very soft!
