Description
Sub-title: So, you thought Goodyear only made tires...:)
...this is the southwestern corner of the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle...bright light is a constant...even on a cloudy day:)
...thought of turning this photo into a silhouette but liked this result of contrasting light even better.
For those interested in the plane as much or more than the photo, here's the details
Bill:)
P.S. Well worth a zoom.

Just as an observer, I always really liked the look of the Corsair. I think that I read that there are only a few of these left in existence.
An excellent capture with the contrasting light to give a wonderful effect.
WOW! Great shot and interesting postwork
Cool POV, clarity, backlighting and quasi silhouetting in this shot, Bill. Pappy Boyington, if he's still alive, would love it.
I absolutely love this ... it's my favorite plane, and the almost-silhouette treatment is just right. The light reflecting off the fuselage and the propeller blades from the surrounding windows gives the paint surface a magical quality. Superb pov, too. You've got the wings and that fabulous, beefy cowling I love so much. I know there are those who would rather see more detail (they know who they are! LOL!), but this really does it for me!
wonderful photo!!
I like this too WOW came out too wonderful capture warm hugs, Linda
No mistaking that wing design and perfect as taken. Extra large props. Dana
Perfect lighting on this beauty, Bill! Excellent photo! I always thought the Corsair was just a cool-looking aircraft - over and above its ability to kick butt and take names... Top-notch!
Great shot Bill very lovely old plane!!
It looks a bit threatening with all the backlight :-) But it is blank and beautiful.
A really nice shot of this lovely old aircraft Bill.
This is so much like a very muscular fly! I can just imagine it making a nuisance of itself round the eyes of some gargantuan airliner! A really super pic.
marvelous picture!
superb capture of this sleek machine
Wonderful capture, the cropping, reflections and almost high key treatment makes the image work very well. : )
Personally I think ALL Corsairs are 'Super'.....but no, I am familiar with this excellent aircraft. There is a similar corner in the RAF Museum Hendon.
SPLENDID AND TERRIFIC!
