Description
For those of you who don't care ... this is an abstract of something interesting! :)
For those of you who need to know ... this is a closeup of the front of a jet engine at Boeing's Future of Flight exhibit. This is a Rolls Royce Trent 1000 jet engine, and they say it would suck all the air out of the building in four seconds flat. This engine is what's being used on the new 787 Dreamliner.

4 seconds flat--geez, wouldn't even be able to finish my coffee!! This is an amazing shot, I knew it was part of something to do with airplanes, but wow, just plain WOW!!!
I fall into mainly the first category, and I'm very impressed by the info in the second, but not half as much as I am by your fab image!
I find very interesting this photo is like a box of abstract painting. Very well done
the Info is interesting, but the photograph is great! RS
belle abstraction de moteur!
HA! I almost guessed it and it is quite beautiful and so well captured :-D

Wonderful abstract, Tara. Your eye for composition is incredible.
Fabulous capture Tara. It is a wonderful image,YES!! I love abstracts, but i have always the feeling they have something behind and i stay curious a lot!Thank you for the explanation and for the funny way as you did it:))
Airplane, Engine , Jet, Rolls Royce, reads like a menu for a avionuts dream.'Suck all the air out of the room in 4 secs'! thats impressive but not as impressive as how fast it will slice and dice a passing seagull :-o Very handy if you're planning the worlds largest coleslaw party. Sorry!..the picture....brilliant of course, you do pick the most interesting, shiny angles.I notice your technical info is increasing, you'll soon be rivaling our main man Rob.( or should that be 'Maine' man.? :)
Thanks for the techno-education! The abstract is a wonderful way to be sucked into the subject... Thank you! Clive
Did you apply a texture? Looks real good.
An amazing picture but I'm more amazed with the four seconds info. Wow!
Interesting image! :)
Beauty in engineering.
What a great looking abstract this makes and thank you for the info as of course I needed to satisfy my curiosity.
In that room, you won't be able to scream.... Great capture, Tara!
Brilliant abstract and interesting info. ty for the link.
Great capture of these turbine blades they look great well captured Tara!!
LOL @ Marilyn! When I saw this, I didn't know if it was architecture or a seashell. That's a good thing, because it makes the viewer stop and think. I love the colors and those curves and the way everything seems to flow together. Really nice! I like this very much.
Wow, I had no idea what it was. Superb abstraction. Can't tell if it is metal, bone or ? Reflections in the glass only enhance the image.
The lines and texture of this hooked me immediately and the light reeled me in; what a simply perfect image!
I know what you really liked about this...the super, swoopy, shiny blades:* You've got your artist's eye working double time again:)
