Description
Hello folks!
Bill, Neil and Rob get an A+ for getting the question from Monday right.
It's a photo of my Airfix Spitfire Mk 1A model.
I suspended it in front of the open bedroom window with the intention of having a natural sky background. But, the flash repeatedly refused to fire due to the light background. So I saved the best of the lot and removed the thread in Photoshop. Then I took the photo below with the bedroom wall as a background - and, the flash worked.
A slight down side with the model is the thick material in the decals, and that they are glossy. This makes for difficult draping over details, and renders photographing tricky in avoiding the gloss.
Enjoy!

Not a Camel??...cool! dread to think how many of these I built over the years.I VERY nearly bought a 1:24 scale one when Rob and I were at Hendon. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with an un co-operative flash :)

Reminds me of the Spit in my gallery that is hanging in the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Spitfire Ace. Rob and I visited this neat museum in June 2009 with the primary aim of seeing and walking through U-505. Here is U-505. You should have been with us:)
