Congratulations! This image has been chosen for the Fractal Window Weekly in the Fractal SubCommunity. You will find the announcement in the Fractal Forum.
Cool image, and gallery. It looks like you're using a very similar approach to mine. You're creating a heightfield from some value for each pixel in a 2D Mandelbrot/Julia set plot, right? Are you using electrostatic potential? My app, FractalWorks, uses either Distance Estimate (DE) or fractional iteration value data, where DE data gives the most appealing results. Images like this one http://www.pbase.com/duncanc/image/100188634 are quite similar to yours. Lots more in my 3D gallery on PBASE: http://www.pbase.com/duncanc/3d_fractals&page=all
Excellent image.
