the night is raining
quietly
further away
Â
I'm standing
in front of my window
naked
nothing to hide
Â
I feel some raindrops
burning my eyes
my cheeks
my chin
Â
somewhere
there's a light
people are surviving
Â
somewhere
far away
Â
maybe
Â
it's you

Thank you for this. Missing him too.
Very surreal. Class made!
He is still a great inspiration to me and many other fractallers.. I still miss him too, and the work I created for his memory stil is on the wall in my livingroom
Thank you for this post! I miss his style as well, even though I came in way late
Stunning choice Mark. Looks like a city. 2 years... Amazed that it has been so long. And yes, I agree.. he is still an inspiration, not just in his art, but in his indominatble spirit. I do still think of him from time to time.. although it can bring sadness, it also brings strength.
Om stil bij te worden... zo knap werd dit gemaakt ! Dirk was een van de grootsten, mede door zijn andere talenten in het kunstgebeuren.
Looks like a futuristic city. Excellent fractalization.
gone too soon..I oft wonder what he coul'da done with the newer versions of xenodream. all his works were done in the earliest versions and still inspire. Thanks Mark
So true!
He'll ALWAYS inspire us...both in the creative realm, and in other realms as well. Mark, thank you, for this, and for keeping his work very much alive. A very large hug for you.
Yes, true! Thank You, Mark!
Thanks Mark; I too can only wonder what he would be producing now. This one has strong resemblances to Mandelbox fractals.
A splendid fractal.......!!!!!
Interesting colors and composition
Yes, he is missed in this community. Wonderful composition. Thanks.
Thanks Mark
I too wonder what he would be doing now. He had such a diverse range of styles it was impossible to predict what he was going to do next. I still visit this gallery for both inspiration and techniques.
Everytime I'm looking at Dirks Program-integrated XD "sample files" his genius strikes me again and I have to smile. He's touching me after all and it will last... Only the best to the family.
Stunning! He had an amazing artistic vision.
Dirk lives on in our hearts and minds. His art is as fresh today as when he first created it. Thank you, for keeping his web site alive, and his gallery open and for continuing to post his work.
This image has been chosen for the Fractal Window Weekly in the Fractal SubCommunity. You will find the announcement in the Fractal Forum.
I am glad I returned here to see this marvel! This is superb work, as he always made. I'm incredibly happy that at the beginning of 2011, I'm seeing THIS...in a way, it's a promise of things to come, and in other ways, an affirmation that beauty in all of its forms is that by which we are known. This is superb. Thank you for posting it.
Fabulous fractal my friend!!!Bravissimo!!V:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
