Description
A pair of ships on patrol are passing the nebula known as "The Window" by those who frequent this area of space. Unfortunately they dare not linger, partly because they're on patrol and need to keep moving, but also because active nebula where stars (typically large hot stars at that) are being born are full of a rich array of energies that aren't very friendly to fragile carbon-based life forms like us.
Just a real quick piece, I'm still playing around with these ships. I actually rather like this model even though it's not my usual style.

This is an amazing quick piece! I love your interstellar art and this is one of the reasons why. Your vessels all look logical but you've retained a very strong edge of creativity. That's what's best about science fiction, when the creator of a universe actually knows enough ABOUT science to make things believable, not just in terms of text, but in terms of appearance. These ships are work-horses: it shows. I love the textures and the ambient colors. This rocks.
