Description
Happy day after Halloween everyone! Hope nobody over-did it on candy or celebrations of whatever sort. I garbed up, and tried to deck out the house a bit, in hopes of having some fun with trick-or-treaters, alas none appeared! Here I live across from a cemetery and all, you can't get more halloween than that, and nobody appeared. Poo.
At any rate, I had fun dressing up one last time for the year, I used the timer on my camera, so I apologize for the poor focus. Most of what I'm wearing is my own creation. The vest is buffalo-leather, the teeth and claws are all cast resin pieces in molds I made myself (You've seen pictures of most of these before) and the mask I bought at the Michigan Renaissance Festival at least 5 years ago, so I can't recall who the artist was that made it, I'm afraid.
I'm going to try for another space scene, then maybe include a few more pictures of how I decked out the house. Have a good Monday, folks!

Nicely put together. The work that went into the outfit shows. Well done.
Cool!
Dang, Michael - you're a true artist on many levels! Excellent work on all the elements of that outfit! Excellent! We didn't have many little Halloweenies here, either. We didn't even get candy to hand out this year, we get so few. I think people are just too leary of letting thier kids do much trick-or-treating any more - with all the sickos out there...
Gee! I can't imagine why nobody came! heh! We only had six this year (last year about 50). I think RodS above is right. Most around here, are going to parties sponsored by churches, social organizations, the city recreation people, etc. May try next year, but if no more than that come, I doubt we will continue the tradition. Makes me sad, though. The children aren't likely to be hurt if they are accompanied by the parents.
Are you sure ? EXCELLENt detailed outfits !
I know the feeling dude! I live two blocks from a wally world, and I have'nt had a trick or treater in five years!
Very cool!!!
A lot of work and effort must have gone in to it! Looks terrific!
Wonderful make-up! ;)
Yeah, if you sat out on the porch across from the cemetery looking like that, the little children and their parents might decide to go the other way. Light turnout here too, even though the rain held off. Now we have too much candy...
nice work
Now I lay me down to sleep - A BAG o' GOODIES at my feet - If I should DIE before I WAKE - You'll know it's cuz' of a TUMMY ACHE. WINK.
You don't fool me - I know that mask was fashioned on your own face... We had the opposite problem - so many T or T'ers that we very nearly ran out of goodies.
I love that outfit! One of these days, I wanna actually work on a photo project involving you and others dressed in ethnic gear like that! Ya see, my writer's brain has latched onto the idea of doing one of those "anthropological studies" of a rare tribe found on some remote Nemaean planet. I love the details in this. It's fantastic work, both as a hand-made costume and a great photograph with loads of drama in it.
Wicked GOOD!!! David
